8 chefs from Dallas restaurant Cafe Momentum cook up message at SuperBowlLVII
Super Bowl LV honorary Captain Trimaine Davis speaks with Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White during a Cafe Momentum pop-up food truck at Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix. Cafe Momentum, an award-winning nonprofit restaurant currently under expansion, provides 12-month paid internships and support to young people exiting the juvenile justice system.
“We’re using the Super Bowl as a platform — as an opportunity to build that national conversation and transition that into a movement to change youth justice in the country.” Also on site is Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison for cocaine possession and served more than 20 years. At Kim Kardashian’s request, President Donald Trump offered a full pardon to Johnson in 2020 and she is now a criminal justice reform advocate.and loves to cook — a nice match for Cafe Momentum.
