Baldur’s Gate 3 is a pretty spectacular experience already, but players can do much more by installing mods, including introducing new content and making UI tweaks and quality-of-life improvements. The game has had a thriving modding scene since Early Access and that hasn’t changed since launch. However, with dozens of new mods being uploaded every day, it can be tough to find the most essential custom add-ons.
Spells added include basic damage-dealing magic such as the Frostbite Cantrip, and new summoning spells such as Healing Spirit. The mod even puts a unique spin on some Dungeons and Dragons spells such as Commune with Nature, tweaking and translating their effects, so they work in-game. You may even find magic that rivals some of Baldur’s Gate 3’s best spells.
The mod contains a few files, which allow you to set the carry weight limit as you see fit. There are options for doubling the limit or multiplying it by ten or even twenty. Finally, there’s an option that multiplies the limit by 900, ensuring that you’ll never have to think about inventory space ever again. Sadly, Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t feature the Bag of Holding, but this is the next best thing for players who don’t want to pick a companion to carry all of their stuff.
The main mod pack adds around a hundred new hairstyles: an impressive feat for a custom mod. Most apply specifically to the female Body Type 1, but there are several options for the male Body Type 2 as well.
