Birmingham police on Tuesday identified the victim as Trudy Mustin. She was 63 and lived in Bessemer.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald said police first received a Shot Spotter notification of gunfire in the area, and then a call reporting someone had been shot.

Fitzgerald said it appeared that two groups of people had been arguing all day. The latest argument took place inside a house, and it ended in gunfire. Multiple people were taken into custody for questioning. Fitzgerald on Tuesday said those people were released after questioning. No arrests have been made.
