Shootout near Olmos Park leaves two dead, one hospitalized as police search for suspect

Police Chief William McManus said evidence showed there may have been a deal about to go down when one of the males got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and started shooting at the man who approached them, prompting the shootout. “I’ve said it before, a lot of the violence we are seeing is due to risky behaviors, and that’s what we saw today,” McManus said. “It is insane that people have no respect for others’ safety.”
