Powerful winds, warm temperatures and rain are all in the San Francisco Bay Area weather forecast over the next week.
The weather service issued a wind advisory for the North Bay and the East Bay hills from 8 p.m. Wednesday through 11 a.m. Thursday.
"We're going to stay seasonably cool through Thursday as another dry, cold front pushes through the region, and that's when we're going to see the uptick in the strengthening offshore winds," Gass said."The strongest winds will be along the coasts and in the hills and along the ridges where we could see winds of 45 to 60 mph."
Gass said people will notice the blustery conditions in urban areas, but the weather service isn't expecting widespread impacts. The winds will subside Thursday afternoon into the evening. Temperatures will be seasonably cool on Thursday with afternoon highs in the upper 50s to 60s. Friday marks a shift in the weather as high pressure builds across the region and pushes up temperatures. Sunny skies are in the forecast with afternoon highs in the 60s and 70s.
