Although the Jedi were heroes of the Republic during the Clone Wars, they actually committed quite a few war crimes while fighting the Separatists.
Although the Jedi were the heroic leaders of the Republic's clone forces during Star Wars: The Clone Wars, it doesn't change the fact that several episodes of the animated series saw the guardians of peace and justice committing war crimes across the galaxy. Ranging from excessive violence and inhumane tactics to ignoring the neutrality of independent worlds, the Jedi committed several typically heinous acts that would have made them war criminals if held to real-life laws and standards.
5 Jedi Attacked and Killed Fleeing Combatants In one of the very first episodes of The Clone Wars, Jedi Grand Master Yoda is accompanied by a contingent of clones on the neutral world of Toydaria in an effort to convince the world's ruler to join the Republic. At the same time, Count Dooku sends his emissary Asajj Ventress and a battalion of droids to take the world by force, resulting in a battle in which Yoda has no problem killing droids attempting to retreat.
3 The Jedi Trained Terrorists The Jedi and the Republic were fine with sending troops to Mandalore at the end of The Clone Wars, but hypocritically took issue with sending forces to Onderon to help the world's freedom fighters resist the forceful takeover of their world. Palpatine's Sith apprentice Count Dooku and leader of the Confederacy had turned Onderon from a neutral world to a Separatist-aligned planet.
