Six men who allegedly posed as NYPD detectives during a home invasion robbery in Fair Lawn last year were arrested Monday, investigators said. Police were called to the house shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 of last year after they received a 911 call reporting the incident and officers learned that the six men were invited into the home by the homeowner after they displayed NYPD-style detective badges, according to a statement from the. They then tied up the homeowner and stole cash and jewelry before fleeing, authorities said.
Six suspects were identified as Michael D’Angelo, 50, Daniel Ruggiero, 52, Dominick Memoli, 67, Erion Beshiri, 39, all of the Bronx, New York, Bruno Simonetti, 42, of Mount Vernon, New York and Sian Stafford, 28, of New York, the office said.
