Omenihu was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of domestic violence, San Jose police said.
Omenihu's girlfriend called police to say that the 6-foot-5, 280-pound Omenihu"pushed her to the ground during an argument." When police arrived at the San Jose home, the woman declined medical attention and cops arrested Omenihu for misdemeanor domestic violence.
Omenihu was booked into Santa Clara County jail and released on bail. He has not been charged yet in the case; police say they'll forward the case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney when they've finished investigating the case. The woman, who cops said had a"complaint of pain to her arm," received a restraining order against the football player.
