“The thumb, the shoulder … all of it. It was one thing after another. … Every time I threw. It was a lot,” he continued. Garoppolo’s thumb injury, publicly announced as a torn ligament, happened during a Dec. 23 game against the Tennessee Titans. The shoulder injury, a right shoulder sprain, happened in the postseason against the Dallas Cowboys.
