4 school districts in San Diego mountains call Wednesday snow day [Breaking]
Schools in Julian, Santa Ysabel, Pine Valley and other areas across the San Diego County mountains will be closed Wednesday because of snow, county education officials announced Wednesday night.
Campuses that will be closed are those in the Julian Union Elementary School District, Julian Union High School District, Spencer Valley School District and Mountain Empire Unified School District, according to the San Diego County Office of Education. The two Julian school districts will also start late Thursday, according to the county education officials.
Schools in Julian and the Mountain Empire Unified School District — which includes campuses in Pine Valley, Campo, Descanso, Potrero and Boulevard — were also closed Tuesday for high winds and snow.
