The men's super-G will serve as the second alpine skiing race after Switzerland's Beat Feuz won the downhill event.Forty-seven racers, including four Americans, will head down “The Rock” course at the Beijing National Ski Center on Monday for a chance to take home a medal in the men’s super-G event. Four Americans will take part in the race: Travis Ganong, Ryan Cochran-Siegle, Bryce Bennett and River Radamus.

The men’s super-G course is shorter than the downhill course but adds in some demanding turns similar to the slalom events. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway and Marco Odermatt of Switzerland are the slight favorites after racking up five super-G World Cup victories between them. Two Austrians will also be gunning for the win. Vincent Kriechmayr collected medals at prestigious events in 2021, while Matthias Mayer won gold in Pyeongchang in 2018.
