These 3 restaurant owners discuss how they’re coping with the COVID-19 crisis:

“We’re so grateful for the customers,” says Pounds. “When the customers walk in they’ve been thanking all of us for continuing to work. They all walk in with huge smiles.”

“I think more than ever it’s important for them to know how much we care about them,” adds Allen, “and that we appreciate every single person that is continuing to shop local.” Wade says customers are helping the Homeroom team get through this as well. “It is a hard time to be a restaurant, and definitely engaging with them has been the number one thing that brightens our day. Getting emails and pictures and posts and letters from people about their gratitude for the service we’re providing has been really heartwarming in a really hard time. So I guess I would just say, thank you.
