A man is accused of swerving around a traffic arm in front of train tracks, driving through a red light and crashing into another car, sending himself, his passenger and a Houston Police Department SWAT officer to the hospital.
The woman who was riding in his passenger seat is in critical condition at the hospital and it is unknown if she will survive her injuries, Harris County Assistant District Attorney Sean Teare said at a news conference.The man, driving a Lexus, was traveling north on West Little York Road at 10 a.m. Thursday. After going past the train tracks and a red light, his car crashed into the SWAT officer, Teare said.
