Almost a month after the teen was shot in the chest near his home, a second 18-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection to his death.

HOUSTON, Texas -- A second young suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Houston teenager last month.Police had already arrested Alfonso Gonzalez, 18, as a suspect in the shooting. Gonzalez is charged with murder and tampering with evidence.On Sunday, March 20, HPD responded to a shooting call in the 900 block of Woolworth Street around 1 a.m.

Officers arrested Gonzalez on April 11. HPD said investigators identified Garza as a second suspect and arrested him without incident on Friday, April 15. "He was always a free spirit," Partida said."Full of joy. He just loved life. He loved basketball. All his coworkers are distraught.
