According to Jean Muchanic, executive director of the lighthouse, the annual tradition and fundraiser brought in nine couples who were “feeling the love” on an unseasonably warm February day. Absecon Lighthouse hosts its annual Wedding Vow Renewal for Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022.Because of the pandemic, this year’s ceremony was similar to last year with staggered times for the couples, instead of the loving vibe party atmosphere of past renewals that included a band, dancing, and a Champaign toast to cap off the evening.
The ceremony is something they look forward to every year has become a sort of ritual which recommits them throughout the year.
