Planning is in the works for the 2026 World Cup as FIFA heads to the Lincoln Financial Field to meet with Philadelphia city planners for the big sporting event.

Philadelphia joined a small group of American cities that will host soccer matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As for the final, because the LINC has a stadium capacity of 62,000, FIFA is looking to host the opening match, semifinal, and final, in cities with larger stadium capacities including: New York City, Dallas, Atlanta and Los Angeles.A logo reveal ceremony was held in LA as U.S., Canada and Mexico will all co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
