We reviewed all 10 propositions for the spring 2024 Dallas bond election.
Dallas voters have the chance starting today to cast their ballots on a $1.25 billion bond program that we believe is an investment in the city’s future. We carefully considered each of the 10 propositions up for a vote. We reviewed the spreadsheet of projects associated with each proposal. We asked city officials and leaders hard questions about the planning around the whole bond package as well as specific questions about individual items within the propositions.
This funding would go toward constructing two new libraries at Park Forest and North Oak Cliff, as well as for various improvements at other libraries throughout the city.This money would pay for improvements to cultural arts facilities, including HVAC, roofing and elevators in buildings like the Dallas Museum of Art and the Kalita Humphreys Theater.The bulk of this proposed borrowing would fund the construction of a new police academy.
