Rickie Fowler Top 20
That good play has come thanks in large part to some really good iron play: he ranks 10th in strokes gained approach and has gained strokes in every start this season. The results? Seven Top-20 finishes in 11 starts, including five in his last six starts if you count the Dell Technologies Match Play as a T17.
The weaker parts of his game are his putting and scrambling, but that hasn’t been the case for him at TPC San Antonio considering he’s gained strokes in both of those areas in each of his last four Texas Open tries – helping him produce solid results along the way. Between the course history, some decent form, and the fact he’s been able to hide his weaknesses here in Texas, I’m expecting another quality showing from him this week. Lining the field at TPC San Antonio is Tyrrell Hatton at +1,300 but as I mentioned at the onset, all eyes will be on Rickie Fowler this week as he chases the final qualifying spot for the Masters.
