UPDATE: The two people injured on Lincoln University’s campus during the shooting were women. One of the women was released from the hospital while the other is in stable condition.
According to police, the incident happened at about 10 p.m. during a"Yardfest" event at the Chester County school, when officials said, two people -- who were reportedly not students at the university -- were injured when"a gun was discharged."
One of the victims was sitting on a bench, while the other victim was standing nearby. Neither of the victims knew each other, according to officials.Sign up for NBC Philadelphia newsletters.
