It combines some of the former's camber-change characteristics with the latter's minimal jacking tendencies . The major variable controlling this blend of characteristics is the angle formed by the trailing-arm pivot axis and the center line of the wheel. As tires have become stickier, suspensions softer, and engines more powerful, less camber change with vertical wheel motion has become more critical to acceptable handling.
