The teen driver was not wearing a seatbelt when he was thrown from the SUV and killed, deputies said.
HOUSTON — A 19-year-old man was thrown from a vehicle and killed in a rollover crash Sunday night in northeast Harris County, according to the sheriff’s office.for reports of the crash. According to Lt. Simon Cheng with the vehicular crime division, witnesses said the driver of a black Chevrolet sedan was going north on the feeder road when she ran a red light and slammed into the back of a red Ford Expedition that was going east on Little York.
The crash caused the Expedition to spin and roll over at least once. Cheng said the 19-year-old driver of the Expedition was not wearing a seatbelt and he was thrown from the SUV and killed. The woman who was driving the Chevy stayed at the scene, where she was given a sobriety test. She did not show signs of intoxication.
