New York Times reporter and “1619 Project' author Nikole Hannah-Jones blasted coverage of Jordan Neely’s death in a Twitter thread posted on Thursday.

for"knocking on the wrong door," she claimed some think it's okay to kill people simply for their mentally illness and behavior towards others.

"This framing is disingenuous to malicious unless you believe being poor is the same as mental illness.
