The teenager reportedly escaped a hotel, crossed a bridge into Kentucky and claimed he was Timmothy Pitzen, who went missing in 2011.
A teenager who turned himself into authorities on Wednesday claims to be Timmothy Pitzen, who went missing in Illinois in 2011 at 6-years-old.
"He walked up to my car and he went, 'Can you help me?'" a 911 caller told dispatchers."'I just want to get home. Please help me.'" WCPO reported Pitzen's mother was found dead from apparent suicide, but the child was gone. At the time, police said that the mother left behind a note saying she had left her child with unnamed people who"would care for him and love him."
