The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the batch of Butterball ground turkey was recalled following reports of embedded blue plastic in the product.

The issue came to light following complaints to the FSIS by consumers who reported they had found pieces of the plastic embedded in raw ground turkey.
