A 13-year-old boy has been charged with opening fire on two students while waiting for a bus near their school in Cambria Heights, Queens.

The students - a 16-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy -- were struck when a large fight broke out near the corner of Linden Boulevard and 207th Street just before 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The two had left their school, the Q492 Mathematics, Science Research and Technology Magnet High School, and were waiting for a bus when the teen opened fire during a large fight.The 14-year-old boy was shot in the right leg and also taken to the hospital complex at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.The 13-year-old boy dropped the gun as police arrived and spotted him running away.It is unclear if the victims were intended targets or just happened to be in the vicinity of the fight.
