As Chloe tries to decide what she will do about her unplanned pregnancy, we see her unintentionally end up at a fake abortion clinic, where they try to push anti-abortion propaganda onto her and in another scene, we see her deal with an anti-abortion activist disguised as an escort.than when she saw the script she was"really shocked in a good way" because the show would be showing Chloe's entire process.
In order to prep for the scenes, Anne said that she went to see a doctor."I got to talk to a doctor that performs abortions in Northern California, and I got to ask her a million questions so I was clear on the whole process and what it entailed." Anne also filmed on a private set, where only the director, the doctor and her were present and she said it was really the noise in that intense abortion scene that got to her."It was big on my emotional standpoint. For me personally, it was the vacuum noise in that scene, that was what really got me there every time. That noise is so unique and so raw. It put me in that headspace,"Anne revealed that the scene in which the camera focuses on Chloe's face had to be filmed twice.
