One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting Monday night in north Oak Cliff, Dallas police say. Shortly before midnight, officers responded to calls of a shooting in the 700 block of West Clarendon Drive, where they saw a black SUV driving away. The SUV was later found at a nearby hospital’s emergency-room entrance.
According to police, 20-year-old Steven Mendoza and a 21-year-old man were both shot. Mendoza died at the hospital, while the 21-year-old was stable Tuesday. Police determined the shooting happened in the 800 block of South Tyler Street, near West Pembroke Avenue — less than half a mile away from where the call made, police said.Email Address
