Cruise AI is being investigated over concerns of traffic and pedestrian safety.
Details are limited, but officials say the crash involved two vehicles and an adult was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were evaluated for minor injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital.This marks the fourth deadly crash on Austin-area roadways since Sunday morning after a pedestrian was hit and killed at East Braker Lane and the southbound lanes of the I-35 service road.
In a separate crash around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a person died on the State Highway 130 toll road, east of Austin – the second deadly crash there in less than 24 hours. The third fatal crash happened Sunday afternoon on West Parmer Lane near Corpus Christi Drive, just north of McNeil Drive.
